![]() So this team will move to the end of the list of „still to paint teams“. It definitly something different to hold these metal casted, all different miniatures in my hands than a resin or plastic team! But that is just my personal taste! A pity that i painted a Norse team from Greebo already before. A nice add is, that all miniatures got player numbers already casted on them. The scale is a bit larger than usualy, more like the „Greebo scale“. The rules for using Norse teams in your games of Blood Bowl can be found in Spike Journal 14. In addition, there are 2 double-sided Blood Bowl coins, 2 turn and re-roll markers, 4 balls, and a transfer sheet with 292 decals. Helpfully that each miniature with separate arms comes in its own plastic bag. The team is made up of 6 Norse Raider Linemen, 2 Beer Boar, 2 Norse Berserkers, 2 Ulfwereners and 2 Valkyries. Some moldlines cleaning is necessary and it takes some time to glue all the single arms in place. Personal note: A very well sculpted and crisp casted team of metal miniatures. The onlineshop „ Comixininos“ is selling those miniatures. Several more items were added as stretch levels like a Norse Football, one Norse Injury Dice, a Set of 3 Norse Block Dice, a Set of 2d6 Norse Dice, a Turn and a RR Counters and Prone / Stunned Snow Troll Tokens.īefore being hired by Games Workshop for the Warhammer line Sergi Torras, one of the best and most talented Fantasy Football 3D sculptors, sculpted this Meiko Miniatures Norse Team. The campaign also includes a Norse Sara Star Player that can play with the Norse Team. It includes the following 16 Players: 1 Snow Troll, 2 Ulfwerners, 2 Blitzers/Berserkers, 2 Throwers, 2 Catchers / Runners, and 7 Norse Linemen. I guess I would end by saying that a lot of the lineups listed (just ulfs, all linemen) are way more niche than what I'm suggesting, which is a more mainstream way of building the Norse team for either short or long leagues. This team was developed using a Indiegogo project in 2016 and was released 2017. It does help of course, but learning to frenzy can't use rerolls as a cruch, otherwise the Norse TV will skyrocket and not really perform well. I suspect that after Norse come out for BB2, there will be a ton of people playing them, and then give up because they already have trouble with risk management and think all the block will help them out. 2 is usually sufficient and helps reinforce good play as you will make more careful frenzy blocks and not be tempted into risky play, which with the Norse AV 7 is a real problem. I might add that after getting the hang of Norse, 3 rerolls is not really necessary. You have to take them because they are the primary attackers after the Ulfs. I've never had the thrower get the brunt of the opponents effort in fact its usually the Zerks that get early injuries, but that doesn't mean not taking them. If suddenly the opponent can't depend on fighting the war up front, their strategy is forced to change which can take some of the pressure off the injuries. With Norse, this is important to compensate for the AV7. Like real football, if you can establish that both sides of the ball are in play, the opponent starts to have real defensive trouble. As you advance with Norse, the frenzy gets to be more second nature and expanding into adding a throwing game becomes attractive as people get taken aback by a Norse team with a throwing component. Beginners often find themselves obsessing over frenzy since it takes some serious getting used to. The thrower is a matter of taste that a lot of people get a lot of mileage out of, but usually the beginners don't have the mental bandwidth for. Usually the argument is over whether or not to have the Yeti and no runners, or both runners and no yeti. I'm not trying to be argumentative I'm just suggesting that there is a common Norse construction that got missed. Isn't that kind of like saying, you can build the team any way you want? In the "shiny and chrome" build, it's mentioned that you can cut the snow troll and have quite a few options of what to add in from there. ![]() Originally posted by darthphysicist:Edit: even without the thrower, this lineup still wasn't on the list.
